[ V's mostly asleep by the time Kerry's making his promise, but right on the edge of his consciousness is a smile; slow, lazy and sleepy. For the first time in what feels like a long time, V's slowed down.

Nobody ever really calls him by his full name because he doesn't share it all that often, but Kerry's one of the few people who knows it. And it always sounds good coming from his lips. ]
